Skye & Scotland Holiday 2012
This year, I decided to try and get more out of my Camera. Panasonic G2, which I bought a couple of years ago, when going to Las Vegas. The Camera is pretty good, but i felt i was not getting enough out of it. So I signed up for a Photography holiday with Billy Currie, having found his website on the internet.
I am glad I did, I routinely stayed away from the "Manual button" and chose to let the camera make the desisions for me. However after 4 days with Billy, patiently explaining how the three main elements work in tandem, ISO, Shutter speed, Apeture, then frankly it seemed really quite simple !!!!!
Still prone to making bad mistakes, the difference now, is that I have a good idea where I went wrong and what I now need to do, to correct the mistakes. To prove the point, after I left the course and found myself at Smoo Caves, Durness, where I was able to take pictures of an underground waterfall in a cave, in near dark conditions, something I would definately been unable to do before i went on the course.
I continued around the Highlands after the course, visiting Plockton, Lochcarron, Torridon before pitching up in Ullapool. I Then made my way to Knlochbervie, via Stac Pollaidh and Loch Assynt. I then travelled along the top from Dyrness and down to Altnaharra, through Inverness, staying eventually, just south of Inverness, in Cannich, Glen Affric. From Cannich I made my way back to Paisley. I was away for a week and really enjoyed myself, taking load of pictures, see below.
